What is IEC?

Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10-digit code issued by DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade). It is mandatory for any person or business wishing to import or export goods or services from India. Without IEC, customs clearance is not possible. IEC registration is permanent — no annual renewal required.
